Logan County Healthcare Foundation’s 30th Annual Drive for Health Benefit Golf Tournament Was a Success
The Logan County Healthcare Foundation’s 30th annual Drive for Health Benefit Golf Tournament was held Friday, May 31st, at the Oakley Country Club. We had excellent participation in our event, which included 36 teams registered and the day of the tournament we had 35 teams participate in the Annual Golf Tournament! With the combined sponsorship of the Golf Tournament, the Silent Auction, and the Golf Cart Raffle for the new golf cart donated by Farmers State Bank of Oakley; the Foundation made over $30,000 for this year’s Benefit Golf Tournament.

The day was beautiful, and the course looked gorgeous and green!!! We had 35 teams that had a lot of fun! Thanks again for participating in our Golf Tournament! Winning the championship flight was the team of Jace Ochs, Kevin Shaw, Bob Kelly, and Mark Temaat with a score of 57. Second place in the championship flight was the Farm Bureau Financial Services Team which consisted of Jeff Dennis, David Hubert, Brett Martin, and Laura Dennis with them scoring 57. First Place in the First Flight was the team of Kent Trompeter and Earl Brainard with a score of 69. Second Place in the First Flight with a score of 69 was the Tony Kuhlman Team with Tony Kuhlman, Mike Kuhlman, Marsha Klinge, and Myka Reinert. The Farm Bureau Financial Services, the Tony Kuhlman Team, and the Jace Ochs Teams graciously gave back their winnings to the Foundation! A prize, of a gift certificate for 4 to the Oakley’s Family Fun Center, was awarded for the most mulligans purchased throughout the day and the winner of that prize with the most mulligans was the Clay’s Pumping Service Team! Other prizes awarded for the day went to those with the longest putts on Holes 1, 6, 8, and 9 and the longest putt prizes went to Kevin Shaw, Shannon Metcalf, Butch Burris, and Marty Lager. The mission of the Logan County Healthcare Foundation is to enhance local health care services by providing scholarships, sponsor health education and awareness programs, upgrade technology and provide medical equipment, and assist in the recruitment of medical professionals. Since its creation in 1993, the Logan County Healthcare Foundation has funded projects totaling over $1.8 million.
